Enjoyed drawing this! colouring was really lazy but turned out well! used a mouse for this entire piece because i can't draw straight lines with a tablet XD Apparently this is 2 point perspective but i only drew 1 point! A lot better than my last attempt at perspective! Also the first time i've drawn a city!

Well i was looking at all the different brushes in SAI it seems a shame that i only ever use a simple circle! next time i do some painting i'll have to make a point of using some different brushes!

then i feel like i've been in a bit of a slump lately so i just decided to draw a plain front on picture! i have to work on full body anatomy! bust shots don't help me improve! Look! someone other than Sokka! XD

Profile Head Sketch

Sooooooo studying the head in profile! always been something i've struggled with big time but learned a lot doing this! that the head isn't shapped quite as i thought it was in my mind! funny how seeing everything in 3d everyday we have these preconceptions that are quite different to what they are in reality. Breaking things down helps this!

Oh look at that! it's Sokka XD was going to be some1 else but his hair style allows to show the shape a bit better!

Here are the lines! changed some stuff around! opened Toph's eye for starters! would rather see her eye than having it closed! hahaha and frik it was hard to find the design of her earth bracelet XD I am determined to finish this before Valentine's day! gah! let's see if i can get it together!

Sketches

I read recently that female anatomy is hardest to get looking good and that if you can get female anatomy down, then male anatomy will follow along easy. I couldn't agree more with this! at least for me females are a bazillion times harder than males, so i am going to try focus more on females. Sketches done without references.

Why yes that is Toph and Sokka! Surprised? lol And Luffy! he's flippin awesome! omgosh i wonder if this is innapropriate material? :O i don't think so! it's just people in underwear right?

Gesture Drawings

Wasn't going to upload these cause they are def not my best work! But then again this is my work in progress blog! came across the idea of gesture drawing. Gave myself 30secs for each sketch with the idea that shape and movement is more important than anatomy/proportions! unfortunately i cling to detailing everything and in 30 secs it did not work! first try is very hard!

Well i've added the base shades! thought i'd aproach this picture in black and white to give her a more menacing look!
